The last Saturday, 26th of june, we met 7 players on the on the skating rink in
Zamalanda Park (Barakaldo) to organize a new tournament of Ring Tennis this time in
doubles.
It was hot but less than the previous days and it didn’t rain so we played ring
tennis in a great conditions As always, the tournament was entertaining and quite close.
Since there were 7 players, we made 3 pairs and Egoitz played alone. We played the
semifinals first, then the match for 3rd and 4th place, and finally the final. All matches
were played to 15 points, except for the final, which was played to 10 points.
In the final, Egoitz could beat Jon Ander and Daniel who had previously beaten
Jhon Cortes and Zuriñe Ayaso. Zuriñe and Jhon won their match against Arrate and
Mikel and got the third position. In July and September we will play on the beach,
individual in July and doubles in September, if all goes well. Here are the results:
