Last Friday, the 9th of May, the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports organized in Elorrieta-Bilbao (Basque Country), in the basketball court of Elorrieta, the VI. Basque Tournament of Ringtennis (Doubles) in the same place as 2024. This was the second tournament this year, because in January we played the VII. Basque Individual Tournament. The idea is to play in July or August a new Ereaga Tournament on the beach and in September or October the Bizkaia Tournament.
After making 4 balanced couples pairs, we played semifinals, a match for the 3º and 4º place, and the final. It was a great tournament, very equal, and the players gave their all. Mikel and Egoitz beat Galder and Daniel in the final and won the tournament. Joseba and Jon finished in third position.
In any case, the most important thing is that we continue playing ring tennis and that we have a great time. Let’s see if the World Federation organizes the 1st European Championship so we can represent our territory, the Basque Country. Here are the results.
