On the 12th and 14th of September, the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority Sports organized the VIII. Basque Tournament of Ringtennis (Doubles) 2026: on Saturday, the 12th, on Ereaga beach in Getxo, and on the 14th in Trapagaran. This has been the last big tournament of this year, because in January we played the VIII. Basque Individual Tournament.
This time, we decided it would be better to hold a longer, two-day tournament, and it turned out to be a great choice, as there was plenty of excitement between the top two pairs. On the first day, we met at Ereaga Beach in Getxo and played three intense matches; the pair consisting of Egoitz and Daniel won all of their games that day.
On the second day, in Trapagaran, the pair made up of Arrate and Ander (stepping in for the original partner, Joseba Fernández) played very well. After defeating Daniel and Egoitz in their first match, they had to play a tie-breaker to decide which pair would claim the VIII. Basque Tournament of Ringtennis (Doubles) title. Ultimately, Egoitz and Daniel won the tie-breaker against Arrate and Ander, taking the tournament victory. Jon and Alex finished third.
Here we leave the results:
