Last Sunday, 23 of May, the Basque Association of Beach Tennis and Minority
Sports organized the first Ring tennis tournament 3 vs. 3, mixed teams, in Barakaldo
(Basque Country). All matches were played in the afternoon. We gathered in a big field
in Zuazo (Barakaldo), we made 2 teams of three players and we started playing the I.
Basque Tournament of Ring Tennis (Triples). We played the best of the two.
We played two hard matches and very even, but finally, the team formed by
Egoitz, Darlyn and Maite was the best, but Jon, Aitor and Iñigo did a good job. In July
we will organize a new tournament, but this time, on the beach and in October we will
play the III. Basque Tournament of Ring Tennis (Individual). Apart from it, we will
continue training. The next year, in 2022, if the World Championship is held in Europe
we will try to attend and represent Basque Country as best as possible.
